The Patton S is Leaperkim's refined take on the rider-favourite Patton. It keeps the compact, confidence-inspiring feel of a mid-size suspension wheel, then sharpens everything: stronger acceleration control, better thermal handling, improved sealing, and a smoother, quieter ride. If you want big-wheel stability without big-wheel size, this is the sweet spot.
What changed from the Patton to the Patton S
- Weight: 39 kg → 36.5 kg
- Basic BMS → smart BMS
- Hall-sensor dependency → hall-less operation
- Suspension: linear springs → progressive springs
- Motor mounting: stamped brackets → CNC motor brackets
- Tire: J802 knobby → YuanXing knobby
- Charging: 15 A maximum → 20 A maximum
Performance and ride experience
Acceleration and control: the Patton S delivers immediate, predictable torque that makes technical climbs, tight city moves, and short sprints feel easy. Pedal feel is firm and communicative without being harsh.
Suspension: the FastAce setup filters chatter and square edges well, keeping the tire planted. With 80 mm of travel and progressive damping, it stays composed under braking and over repeated hits.
Stability: the wide stance, low-slung battery layout, and 18″ tire give the Patton S a planted feel at speed while keeping it compact in traffic.
Everyday practicality: reasonable weight for a suspension wheel, a functional trolley handle, bright lighting, and solid fendering make it easy to live with.
