KingSong 14D Pro
Pre-order

The KingSong 14D Pro is an upgraded version of one of the most beloved commuter EUCs. It keeps the light, nimble character of the 14-inch platform and adds faster charging, smarter battery management, stronger control electronics, and rider-friendly hardware like larger spiked pedals and improved side padding. If you want a dependable, easy-to-carry wheel for city trips, last-mile hops, and fun carving sessions, this is the sweet spot.

Key features

  • 14-inch wheel for tight, confident manoeuvring in traffic and on crowded paths.
  • Updated battery pack with a smart BMS for balanced cells, better protection, and clear fault reporting.
  • Support for 5 A fast charging, to top up quickly during the day.
  • Refined controller for smoother acceleration and improved thermal stability.
  • New, larger spiked pedals for grip and comfort on longer rides.
  • KingSong app: calibration, riding modes, lighting, stats, and diagnostics.
  • Bright headlight and taillight, plus reactive RGB side lighting.
  • Retractable trolley handle and a compact shell that is easy to lift and store.

Performance and ride experience

On the road the 14D Pro feels lively and predictable. The 14-inch tire gives fast turn-in and playful carving, while the updated controller keeps the wheel composed over bumps and curb cuts. The new pedals add welcome leverage and foot comfort, especially when braking hard or weaving through traffic. Acceleration is crisp for a commuter wheel, cruising speeds are practical for the city, and the stronger electronics inspire confidence on short climbs and rough paving.

What changed from the 14D to the 14D Pro

  • Battery and BMS: the same 420 Wh capacity, but an upgraded smart BMS in place of a conventional one — better cell balancing, protection, and transparency about what the battery is doing.
  • Charging: 5 A fast charging instead of standard lower-amp charging, so mid-day top-ups are quick enough to be worth doing.
  • Controller: a new smart controller with improved thermal management, for smoother power delivery and better reliability.
  • Pedals: larger spiked pedals rather than smaller flat ones — more grip and comfort, and easier control when braking or carving.
  • Ride feel: more composed over bumps and tighter handling. The 14D was playful but less planted; the Pro is calmer at speed while staying agile.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • 5 A fast charging reduces downtime
  • Upgraded BMS and controller for peace of mind
  • Excellent manoeuvrability in tight spaces
  • Grippy, comfortable pedals
  • Clean app control and lighting, plus Apple Find My

  • Commuters who prefer a quick lunch-break charge to carrying a heavy wheel
  • Beginners looking for a stable, confidence-building first wheel

MyEWheel Expert Review

Reviewed by Andrey, MyEWheel CEOExpert

4.5

The KingSong 14D Pro is one of the clearest examples of what practical micromobility should be. Not every rider needs a 40-kilogram performance wheel, and at roughly 14.5 kg this is genuinely easy to carry up stairs, roll through a shop, place in a car or combine with public transport. The new controller gives it noticeably more power reserve than the original 14D, especially on steep climbs and in stop-start city riding, while the smart BMS, temperature monitoring, bright display, larger spiked pedals and support for 5 A charging bring a proven platform properly up to date. It is smooth, agile and unusually torquey for such a compact wheel, which makes it a strong first EUC but also a useful second wheel for experienced riders. The trade-offs are equally clear: the 420 Wh battery is best treated as a realistic 20–30 km city pack, not a touring battery, and the narrow 14-inch tyre transmits more broken pavement than a larger wheel. The firm side pads will not suit every calf, and the lighting, trolley-handle construction and traditional axle still reveal the age of the underlying design, so this is not the wheel for jumps or aggressive off-road use. For short urban trips, errands and mixed public-transport commuting, however, very few EUCs are this convenient, capable and sensibly priced.
