Performance and ride experience

Range

Leaperkim quotes 100–200 km as lab data. For a typical rider at touring speeds, plan around 140–180 km in mixed conditions. Steady cruising in mild weather can push toward the upper end; cold, hills, high speeds and the off-road tire pull it down.

Power and speed

The 176.4 V system is less about outright speed and more about margin. At any given speed the controller works further from its limit, so hard acceleration, long climbs and a heavy load are handled with reserve. The 170 km/h figure in Leaperkim's material is the motor's no-load free-spin, not a riding speed; adjustable speed and PWM tilt-back let you set your own limits.

Suspension

Sealed-cylinder hydraulic shocks with separate compression and rebound knobs, closed against dust and dirt. The 90 mm of travel takes the edge off tram lines, cobbles and gravel and keeps the wheel settled under braking.

Handling

At 52 kg this is a large wheel. It is planted at speed and calm on rough roads, but low-speed maneuvers, stairs and car loading demand strength and experience. The trolley handle and kickstand help around the ride, not during it.

Charging

The included 5 A charger fills the pack in about 6 hours; a 10 A charger cuts that to about 3 hours, and the dual ports support up to 20 A combined for the fastest turnaround.
