Tire PressureFirst thing you should do after carefully unpacking your unicycle is to check the tire pressure. If the tire needs adjusting - you can find the recommended PSI written on the tire. (for more information about tire pressure - please check our blog post here).
KingSong ApplicationOnce, you have the tire pressure cleared up you can download and install the KingSong application. You can download the official KingSong application from the links below or you can scan the barcodes:

Registering in the KingSong AppNow that you have successfully installed the KingSong application, you will have to register and create an account. You can do that using your email address or phone number. Note that in some cases the phone number method causes issues so we recommend using the email address method instead. Please see the images below for detailed information:
Unlocking your wheelAfter registering in the KingSong application, you can power up the unicycle by pressing and holding the power-up button for at least 2 seconds. It will start beeping because it needs to be unlocked through the application that you installed in the previous step. Open the KingSong application and turn on the Bluetooth and Location settings on your phone. When you open the app, please press the "Search device" button to start searching for nearby unicycles, and the application should show your new unicycle (as seen in the images below). After you select your unicycle, you should be able to see the "Unlock" button on the main screen.
FirmwareThe next important thing you should do is check your firmware. You can do that by going to the settings in the application and clicking on Firmware Upgrade. If you have the latest firmware, a message should pop up saying "Current one is the latest version". (Please note that all electric unicycles that we ship are checked and upgraded to the latest version) If there's a new update, please update the firmware by pressing "Continue to Upgrade." *please kindly wait 5 to 10 minutes until the process bar display 1% and do not leave the APP in the background to avoid failure of the upgrade *keep your mobile phone is within 1 meter from the wheel *make sure you have enough battery on your phone and on your unicycle and that you can maintain a good network connection on your phone If for some reason, the process of firmware upgrade was interrupted, and you can't connect with the unicycle or the application doesn't show the pop-up message "CONTINUE TO UPGRADE", please press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to power the wheel off. Then place the unicycle upside-down as shown on the images below. Press the power button for 3 seconds and try to reconnect with the wheel to finish the upgrade.
Horizontal CalibrationAfter each firmware upgrade, heavy crash or if the pedals are not parallel to the ground before riding, please perform a horizontal calibration. Here are the steps to follow to complete the calibration:
- Connect to the wheel, slide the quick function area and click on "Horizontal Calibration". Or go to the settings menu and select "Horizontal Calibration".
- Please carefully read the message box that will appear and then click "Confirm". Once horizontal calibration is turned on, the unicycle should automatically power off.
- While the unicycle is powered off, place it on a U-shaped stand or lay one of the pedals on a horizontal stair.
- Power on the unicycle, and keep it vertical to the ground until you hear the 5th beep. Please hold the trolley handle in case of wheel-spinning when the horizontal calibration is finished. Once you hear the 5 beeps, please power off the unicycle and take it off the flat stair. That completes the calibration of the footplates.
You are ready to go for a ride.
